Under 15s too bright for Stars

The under 15s produced a polished display to ease past high flying SA1 Stars, at Dukefield.  The visitors have enjoyed a fine start to the season and were expected to provide a thorough examination of Dunvant's title credentials but were well beaten by the Yellow and Greens.

Dunvant made the best possible start and were ahead in the second minute.  Sam Powell rose to powerfully head home Dylan Bebb's precise near-post corner - his fourth goal of the season.  Both sides enjoyed plenty of good possession, during the opening half, but Dunvant were good value for their slender interval lead.

The lead was soon doubled as Callum Dolman timed his run perfectly, onto Bebb's pass, to find the bottom corner.  However, the Stars soon hit back and were given hope when a long range free-kick found the top corner of Ethan Dacey-Davies's net.  The goal only served to spur Dunvant on to their best period of the match and they soon put the result beyond doubt.  Bebb was unlucky to see two efforts well saved by the Stars keeper but Toby Merchant was on hand to calmy finish and re-establish the two goal advantage.  Bebb wrapped things up nicely, for the hosts, firing into the top corner after good work from Coker, Dolman and Merchant.

Dunvant will travel to SA1 for the reverse fixture, in a fortnight, knowing that another top performance will be required to stay clear at the top of the league
