Youth return to top in style

The Youth team turned on the style to defeat title rivals Sandfields at Dukefield.  Having suffered their only defeat of the season, so far, at Sandfields earlier in the season the Dunvant players knew that this was a must win match.  The opening exchanges were fairly even but the hosts had the better chances and took a deserved lead thanks to Ben Chalk's cool finish.  Shortly before the break, the Yellow and Greens extended their advantage in terrific style - James Eynon firing into the top corner from outside the box.

After the break, Sandfields enjoyed their best period of the match and threatened a comeback after a well-worked goal.  However, the Dunvant midfield took a strangle-hold on the match and regained the momentum.  Dan Sorley stroked home a crucial third goal, after Jonathan Bebb's free kick and an own goal gave the Dunvant players breathing space soon after.  Morgan Lucas capped an impressive performance with a fine header from Bebb's pinpoint corner.

The three points takes Dunvant above Sandfields, at the top of the table, and puts them in the driving seat for the second half of the season.
